Skipping Rocks

from Experiential Stew by MAKE NO BONES

Boneyard exclusive

about

The majority of this track was written in San Leandro, CA. The rest was on the bus around the Ring of Kerry, Ireland. It was recorded using garageband, m-audio fast track interface, and an MXL V63M condenser microphone in Room 7 of the Liberty Street Apartments in Cork, Ireland. It was inspired by a trip up to Humboldt, CA.

lyrics

Skipping rocks by the river side,
Carve my name in the great blue sky,
Not sure what time is now,
I wish this was my simple life,
Sure do wish that I could fly,
So I can taste them clouds,

*Chorus*
The races won,
When all is said and done,
Don't mean much to me,
This city boy,
Taught the face paced joys,
Floats down stream with ease,

These trees make me feel tall,
Just a part but we make it all,
Close your eyes it's easy to see,
If ever mountain tops make me feel low,
Or I curse the water's ebb and flow,
It'd be bought time you got rid of me,
Cause it's just the way it seems.
